The internationally recognized peace symbol, also known as the CND symbol and the nuclear disarmament symbol, was originally designed in 1958 for the British nuclear disarmament movement. The symbol is a combination of the semaphore signals for the letters "N" and "D", standing for "Nuclear Disarmament".
In the clock each quadrant represents one of the four elements essential to life: Earth, Water, Air and Fire.
Made from two pieces pasted with veneer sheets of Oak and Sapele (Sapelli), to provide dimension and depth, as well as a striking contrast between the natural colors of the woods. Hand varnished and finished. Designed and produced meticulously, Very detailed.
The quartz movement is both RoHS and CE certified. Metal hands with continous non-stop / non-ticking movement of the second hand. Powered by a AA battery (not included).
